Glide registers as a Bluetooth trackpad at the OS level. macOS doesn't know it's a phone. Four-finger gestures, momentum scrolling, Spotlight: it all works without a single permission dialog or background app running on your Mac.
Glide detects Windows automatically and switches its gesture shortcuts. Task View, virtual desktops, snapping: one tap each. Same 30-second Bluetooth setup, different feel.
Samsung, LG, Sony, Apple TV: if it has Bluetooth, Glide can control it. Full D-pad navigation, volume, power, and a swipe-mode trackpad for when a cursor makes more sense than a direction pad. Voice search with one tap.
Most wireless mouse apps work over WiFi and require a server running on your computer. Glide does not. It speaks Bluetooth HID, the same protocol your keyboard uses. Your Mac or PC sees it as hardware from the moment it pairs.
That means it works on hotel WiFi, office networks with AP isolation, and anywhere you'd never get a WiFi app to connect. It also means macOS never asks for Accessibility permissions, and it reconnects automatically when your laptop wakes from sleep.
